For this project situated within Meadow Gardens in Edgware, London the brief was fairly simple; create a timeless yet modern aesthetic, making full use of all available natural sunlight. The choice is doors and surfaces was therefore very easy. For the doors we chose Leicht’s extremely reflective Frosty White laminate, coupled with metallic plinths to break up the wall of white effect.

This was especially important given that we also used 20mm Silestone Blanco Zeus worktop, which again is very white indeed. As anyone familiar with colour theory will be aware, this means plenty of reflected light. As to not created a fully “padded cell” look we decided to add a splash of black by using a number of Siemens appliances which come in glossy black and stainless steel.

Included in the appliance offerings are a Siemens iQ500 built in single door fridge, and an iQ700 single oven with activeClean. If you’re wondering, activeClean is a pyrolytic self-cleaning technology which seeks to cut down on scrubbing and elbow grease. The wonderfully high end Gutmann Campo II ceiling extractor was mounted above to ensure the bare minimum of smoke, steam, and other cooking by-products.

As a finishing touch this Meadow Gardens kitchen was embellished with a Blanco Linus-S Ceramic Mono Mixer Tap with a super handy pull out spray rinse accessory. To align visually with the Siemens appliances we went for the brushed steel option, which looks absolutely splendorous if we do say so ourselves.
